In Autumn of 2009 St Mary's Church was fortunate enough to have a new role of Children's Workers to add to the staff of our church. 2 Children's Workers started in 2009. After a year one of our Children's works left to have her 3rd child. In the words of our Childrens Worker the role entails:-
As Children's worker, I try to work alongside everyone in the church community to provide opportunities for the young people. This is an ever changing role as the needs in our community change but the goal of bringing children and families to fellowship within the church remains central to what I do. Some of the things the Children's worker is responsible for include; Holiday Club, Sunday Club, School's work, Movie Night, First Steps and organizing services and activities within services like Cafe Church.
