Last month a very special ceremony took place outside Ticehurst & Flimwell school entrance. The vicar, Reverend Tim Mills, blessed our new religious mosaic in front of an audience of parents and children. The picture shows Robbie and the Vicar in front of our religious mosaic. August 2008
Holiday Club: The holiday club ran successfully with 26 to 30 children attending and taking part in prayer, craft, games and more both inside and outside the church. This club was held during the 3rd week of August as it is every year.
Cricket: In between the frantic summer Ark building we were delighted to have a dry 4 hours on Sunday 31st August. The occasion was the church single wicket cricket competition. A splendid time was enjoyed by 12 players spanning 6 decades with the occasional sound of pain at the rediscovery of muscles that had lain fallow for some time. The arcane rules eventually produced the worthy champion Jake Spence after he had seen his father disqualified by the umpire Tommy "You can't get one past me" Tucker.
Great thanks to the providers of teas, scorers and Mick Reeves of Flimwell cricket club for use of the facilities. Tennis and cricket in one summer, what sporting endeavours lie in the future?
